Erla – Variation of an old chant
After a long, harsh winter, the poet leads her first-born, her young son, out into the mild spring, wishing him the ability to learn and interpret the meaning of spring. Her wish, since then, came true. The young boy proved to be a talented poet and admirer of nature, his name – Þorsteinn Valdimarsson.
